I have to side with a.net on this one. As far as we know they delivered on their part so the rants here should be going to the retailers. I ordered my prerelease from amazon and got it in 3 days. Granted I live in America and understand that international orders will have their own set of problems.

The downside to this is that I will not get my retail disc until Tuesday May 02. This is not due to a fault of a.net. Why? Because the game will not be released until Friday Apr 28.

Hehe, here, in Croatia? Yeh we have shops with preorder games, but no Factions. So guess who should have made that call...

Are you sure that levels 20 could take these tengu's quests? I have read nowhere that these quests would be available for levels 20, just they are available in tutorial area and NO, the tutorial area is not the marketplace. So how levels 20 from prophecies could access to the these quests???

where did you read that they are availaable in tutorial area?

Shing Jea Monastery, is the Market Place.. well, im pretty sure thats what gaile said... and the Market Place is where your level 20 characters from Tyria will start.

I suppose I should check my facts on this though...

everyone can reread the description on guildwars.com again and again and so on.

it is still confusing because it sounds like "bring your tyria ascended and help defend etc quests etc", but then it points out "visit monastery periodically".

-lvl20s can interact with newly made canthan characs?
-can they interact with the training grounds area?
-will there be separate ways to get Naga fangs/ event quests? (for example, lvl1s can get naga fangs in the training grounds. while lvl20s get their event quests in the town after they take the boat ride to Cantha...)

**I know everyone would still like a more detailed/official info on this...one more Gaile chat log before or on Wednesday would definitely suffice, to clear things up abit...

^This sounds like either you do running around quests <easy. "aid in effort"> or <hard(er). "effort to beat back the erstwhile invading forces."

Also, if ^^above official sentence was stated for lvl20s, it would be easier to understand. (i.e. defending type quests. which you couldnt necessarily do with a lvl1. charac.)

hmm yes, I agree, I've just re-read it several times again!... this is the part I read that is interesting:

okay.. first thing..

you have to have "sufficient number of Naga Fangs".. where as the reward for completing the series of quests is ONE fang!

This means you will have to do the quest several times, if it was tutorial area only, then you wouldnt be able to re-visit!

Also, I take this to mean that only at certain times will you be able to get your Fangs Converted into Masks!...

The actual quests themselves you have to do BEFOREHAND!....

As its a place where EVERYONE has to re-visit, im fairly certain they wont be just "tutorial area"

Guys, its a 24 hour event, they really arnt going to make it that hard for you to get these items!... if its anything like other events 'haloween day' for example, the Mad King appeard every 3 hours.. giving you 3 hours to complete those quests.. more than enough time

I live in Texas. My local EB, BestBuy, Game Stop, Circuit City still did not have the prerelease 2 weeks after it was released. BestBuy didn't know anything about a prerelease and EB knew about it but it was not in their system. Game Stop and Circuit just gave me a blank look. So, I went to amazon.

Where do you live? San Antonio's Best Buy had it a week after, and EB games had it about 2 weeks after.

(Nobody had the pre-order on the actual release day, as it was shipped that day)

is it possible to buy factions and install it in my homies
computer. then when i get back home reinstall factions and
have it merged with part 1. and still have my characters that
i made. only if i knew about the Tengu Masks. that was a
surprise. and yes i know is for pre order only. the best buy
in this city has a shelve full of those pre start disc for $10 each.

I think so.

1. Accounts are not tied to a comptuer
2. To access the headstart you only need an account with the preorder key added.

So, it should be possible to download GW on any computer, access your account, add a preorder key (if you haven't already), play in the headstart and then when you get home you'll still have the chars because it's your account.

From what I understand from various sources Shing Jea Monastery is the starting area, it's on the island in the bay off Cantha and higher lvl chars will have access for the headstart.

Of course, I could be wrong since I haven't read that spcifically, but Gaile did say there would be a further announcement today (Monday), so maybe that will clarify things.

ok so here is what is up ALL you gamers...

I tried reading all these posts, i got to the 4th page...and i just HAD to quit. there is SO MUCH complaining amongst all the excitement of this T. Mask. some how, it seems so simple, get to a EB games store or GameStop and ask to put money down for the game, they should just had you the pre-order box, its purple and slim, and in my case, no questions were asked, they just gave me the box and i wasnt even sure what it was..... maybe im just forturnate because i live in US :-D but im set to go and im not going to waste peoples time reading this forum and reading complaint after complaint about how it sucks because they order ONLINE???!?!?! good grief, walk ur happy behind to the store and do it in person, you kind of asked for delay when you decided that waiting for UPS to deliever was gunna take their sweet time.... please stop complaining and keep the FORUM possitive in looking forward to this pre-event!

Whee, I just preordered last night, they sent the key to my dad's email, because it's his credit card. Now I just have to get him to give me the key. Tengu masks here I come!
